Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She received a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer as well as an American actress active in theatre as well as television and film. She began acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and TV series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting d but was in the role of Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. On television her regular role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
