Awkwafina

Awkwafina was initially a American rapper and singer, performing sly tunes that dealt with questions of race and sexual identity with a comedic twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came through the instrument of trumpet. She also received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a time. The focus on music until after she finished her studies. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015, which was an additional idea. After having a great career as a singer, she took on the role of an actor. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered many major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
